The ongoing mission of the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies is to empower each learner with the tools necessary to serve humankind as the Clinical Neurologists of tomorrow by providing them with the most up-to-date information available today. The highest standards in education, patient care and innovation are upheld by our dynamic faculty, who share a common commitment to this cause.

The Carrick Institute offers an exciting program of study in Clinical Neurology. The curriculum is accredited by the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. Our program qualifies our learners to be eligible to sit for the diplomate examination of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. This specialty board in Neurology is recognized by the American Chiropractic Association, The American Chiropractic Association’s Council on Neurology and the Council on Chiropractic Specialties. The American Chiropractic Neurology Board is a full member of the National Organization for Competency Assurance (USA) and is fully accredited by the National Commission for Certification Agencies.

Since 1979, Dr. Carrick and the Carrick Institute have been the leading authority in the training of physicians and therapists in the field of postgraduate clinical neurology. Over 14,000 clinicians have taken courses with Carrick Institute, in effort to serve millions of patients at a higher level.

The Carrick Institute was founded as a consequence of the attention that Dr. Carrick’s private practice in New Hampshire was getting. From all around world patients came in for Dr. Carrick’s unique model of care. He was working with a large variety of conditions such as dystonia, seizure disorders, post-stroke rehabilitation and traumatic brain injuries.

With the guidance of his mentors and superior training, Dr. Carrick excelled with his patients. His examination skills were exemplary and very contemporary with the rest of the medical community. As a result of his reputation, Dr. Carrick became the go to physician for neurological consults for a majority of the medical community in his area. Gathering even more attention, Dr. Carrick published research in the Journal of Manipulation and Physiological Therapeutics. Shortly after he was receiving international referrals from Europe and Asia for neurological consults.

Dr. Carrick was forced to better understand the actual neuro-physiological processes central to his patients. Some of the insights he took into account were not even considered in 1979. Because of the large referral base, Dr. Carrick felt he had a responsibility to serve humankind further by teaching and sharing his knowledge and experience. With a full patient schedule, Dr. Carrick lectured around the world to great accolades for this forward thinking approaches.

Currently, the Carrick Institute offers more than 100 courses, totaling over 2000 hours of post graduate and continuing education, in 13 countries and 36 cities.
