Since 1979, Dr. Carrick and the Carrick Institute have been the leading authority in the training of physicians and therapists in the field of postgraduate clinical neurology. Over 14,000 clinicians have taken courses with Carrick Institute, in effort to serve millions of patients at a higher level.

The Carrick Institute was founded as a consequence of the attention that Dr. Carrick’s private practice in New Hampshire was getting. From all around world patients came in for Dr. Carrick’s unique model of care. He was working with a large variety of conditions such as dystonia, seizure disorders, post-stroke rehabilitation and traumatic brain injuries.

With the guidance of his mentors and superior training, Dr. Carrick excelled with his patients. His examination skills were exemplary and very contemporary with the rest of the medical community. As a result of his reputation, Dr. Carrick became the go to physician for neurological consults for a majority of the medical community in his area. Gathering even more attention, Dr. Carrick published research in the Journal of Manipulation and Physiological Therapeutics. Shortly after he was receiving international referrals from Europe and Asia for neurological consults.

Dr. Carrick was forced to better understand the actual neuro-physiological processes central to his patients. Some of the insights he took into account were not even considered in 1979. Because of the large referral base, Dr. Carrick felt he had a responsibility to serve humankind further by teaching and sharing his knowledge and experience. With a full patient schedule, Dr. Carrick lectured around the world to great accolades for this forward thinking approaches.

Currently, the Carrick Institute offers more than 100 courses, totaling over 2000 hours of post graduate and continuing education, in 13 countries and 36 cities.
