KET is widely acknowledged as the premier producer of video instruction in adult basic skills, GED preparation, and workplace education. These products, as well as instructional videos on a variety of other subjects, are marketed by KET Enterprise.
Kentucky Educational Television [KET] signed on the air in September 1968 as Kentuckys statewide public broadcasting network. Today, KET is the largest PBS member network in America. Our transmitters and translators deliver both the PBS national schedule and our own wide range of local arts, cultural, documentary, and public affairs productions throughout Kentucky and into surrounding states.
KET is also widely acknowledged as the premier producer of adult basic skills and workplace education programming, much of which is broadcast nationally on PBS and cable television stations. KETs Enterprise Division distributes these and other outstanding instructional and professional development materials for GED preparation, work readiness, ESL and life skills.
KET is proud to be a partner with PBS, the National Center on Adult Literacy, and the Kentucky Department of Education in the development and launch of the multimedia PBS LiteracyLink® project. LiteracyLinks Workplace Essential Skills and GED Connection series, both produced by KET, are now available to 87% of American households through public broadcasting. KET also manages the LiteracyLink website, with more than 200,000 registered users, and distributes the companion teachers guide and workbooks.
KETs Enterprise Division publishes and distributes the KET Adult Learning Quarterly newsletter which examines issues and innovations in adult education.
